The subject of the project was a review of processes with suggestions for improvement in the area of “actuarial controlling” at a medium-sized German life insurance company.
The focus was on the controlling of the actuarial annual financial statement items. The data is transferred for controlling purposes from an external administration system and undergoes various tests to ensure that no errors occur in the annual financial statements.
Recommendations were also made on the ALM process. The analysis focus here was on the consideration of the investment in an external ALM tool.
